Sea Life Around Paros, Discover the Underwater World

The waters around Paros are more than just beautifully clear, they are alive with colour, movement and hidden worlds waiting to be explored. Whether you love swimming, snorkelling or simply paddling along the shoreline, you’ll quickly discover that the Aegean is full of fascinating marine life.

Beyond the familiar fish you might see on a taverna menu, there is an entire ecosystem thriving beneath the surface. Shoals of silver bream, damselfish and wrasse dart between the rocks, while octopus and cuttlefish cleverly camouflage themselves against the seabed. If you look closely in shallow coves, you might even spot sea urchins, starfish and tiny crabs tucked into crevices.
